EVERY CHILD DESERVES A BRIGHT FUTURE IN A LOVING HOME WITH THE SUPPORT NETWORK OF A FAMILY.
Children living in the Kulea Home are in our Full Care program and need about nine sponsors who provide quality education, a home with electricity, food, clothing, opportunity for spiritual education/worship, medical care and the love of a family for each child. Kulea Villages requires that Kulea orphans stay in school through secondary school. Beyond that we hope to help the children with college, junior college or technical training.
Children living with one caregiver, typically a widowed mother or grandmother, are in our School Assistance program. Sponsors help them continue living with that remaining relative as long as possible, through covering their school fees. Being with a mother or grandmother is still the best placement for a child if possible. Sponsors funds help pay for for school uniforms, shoes, supplies, and in some cases tuition, depending on the school. Sponsor funds also provide our staff to make regular checks on the condition of the children in their homes (food, welfare, clothes, caregiver) at weekly and monthly intervals.
Most of the children pictured are in need of 1 sponsor to be fully sponsored (a few children need 2 or 3 more). We invite you to read their biographies and consider committing to one or more children (at $40 per month each). Sponsoring a child is a commitment and we depend greatly on your contribution. Prompt, regular payments are expected as well as advance notice if you must stop your support. If you cannot meet this obligation, consider instead making a one time donation (as often as you can) to help support our work.
